When I started my blog in 2009, it seemed like there were a lot of quilting & blogging Katie's, so I decided to use Kate. My family, a few friends, and randomly my thesis advisor call me Kate, so it wasn't too far in left field... I didn't think I would actually meet blogging friends in real life, I didn't think it would ever get confusing, but it has. So, Katie it is.

And yes, blue really is my favorite color. Nothing else is changing--I just figured I should be consistent across social media. And I still answer to Kate :)

ReplyDeleteWell hello! lol :) I get called "em" all the time in quilting type situations... I guess my 4th grade spelling of my nick name (emedoodle - pronounced emmie-doodle) doesn't work very well either. :)
ReplyDeleteAhhh in real life all my friends and family call me Margaret. When I started blogging I used Marg, it's quicker to type! Now it's weird because people I've met through blogging call me Marg and everyone else calls me Margaret. It's not confusing, just weird, maybe it's time I did the same thing!

ReplyDeleteHi Katie! Same thing with my name. ;) Once I started checking out all the quilting blogs out there I saw all the Kelly's with the blogs I was on or in comments. Most everyone in my life calls me Kell & that's how I've been signing notes. So, when I started my account I just stayed with it.
