1. Geese, 2. Rob Peter to Pay Paul..., 3. Drunk Love closeup, 4. Courthouse Steps, 5. 100 Quilts for Kids quilt, 6. FMF: Paint Chips, 7. I really do love that fabric, 8. 2/11 Bee Blocks from A Notion Or Two, so far!, 9. My husband's 2010 Father's Day Present. Need to get working on that...
I link up to Lee's Work in Progress Wednesdays more often than not, although I have never actually tallied up my mid-finish (doesn't that sound so much nicer than unfinished?) projects. Well, there is a good reason for this, it turns out. There are a lot of them. I picked 9 (that I actually want to finish) to show above...
2 just need binding
2 are finished quilt tops (with finished quilt backs to boot!)
1 is for my son's "new" twin bed (which I have actually started piecing before we all got sick post-vacation! I'm going for the crazy patchwork look)
1 is from my quilting bee, A Notion or Two. I've had the blocks since February.
There is a common theme here. Most of these projects are for family members, or even for me! I think I can get some motivation to finish them up.
Do you have a project you need to just sit down and finish? You do? Let's do it!

"Mid-finish projects." I like that! All these projects are beautiful, but I LOVE the Robbing Peter to Pay Paul!
ReplyDeleteI love the look of that mosaic, everything is so lovely! Also, I spy a little bit of herringbone fabric. Love that stuff!!! I just bought a stack of every colour. Now, to figure out what to do with it!!
ReplyDeleteWow, those all look great!!
ReplyDeleteYes, I'm adopting that phrase "mid finish." I have WAY too many in that particular phase. I'm hoping 2012 will be the year of the finish! You're pictures are beautiful!
ReplyDeleteLove the grey in the geese picture!
ReplyDeleteYou can do it! And if you pop over to Quilter In The Gap, you can join a finish-along where you can actually win prizes for finishing whatever you like :oD
ReplyDeleteThese are all lovely....I wasn't prepared for this week....hope to get back into it for next week...love your cdolours
ReplyDeleteThey're all so lovely! I am totally stealing 'mid-finish' by the way...
ReplyDeleteThey're all beautiful! Love the new header and picture :) I agree mid-finish is much nicer!
ReplyDeletewow, it'll be great fun to share with your family (& yourself!) as you finish these 9 projects! And agreed, 'mid-finish' is certainly more appropriate! ;-)
ReplyDeleteLove the colors in your WIP. One of these days I need to make a quilt for my brother in Orange and Blue his favorite colors and also his college colors. I love how in your quilt the orange & blue are more suttle and not in your face. It inspires me for possibilites on his quilt.
ReplyDeleteI just bought batting today to finish up at least 1 top that's in the pile.
