(I love my letterpress calendar. I won it in a giveaway from my friend Miranda--she is part of the Pyramid Atlantic Letterpress group, among many other things. The calendars are sold out, but there is a birthday card set for sale right now.)
Project: Fit into My Jeans is also underway. It's time, really. My sewing time has been spent running, weight lifting, and doing Pilates, a brand new thing in my life and also one that I am quite in love with. I know the blog is called Swim, Bike, Quilt, and I struggle with how to include the first two. Because really, "Swam 1000 this morning before Little Tiny was done with the daycare" isn't that compelling. I need to sign up for some races, I think!

Sewing time has also been spent... making fabric stacks. Lots of them. All over my house. Oh yeah, and planning and running a PTA meeting (turns out I can talk for 40 minutes straight. Ugh), answering emails, sending emails, planning quilt projects (hey! I'm actually planning now, so that's something. Now I just need to move to the next step, which is actually sewing something), painting my house, and helping my friend Becky finish a quilt, a project far more important than anything I'm currently working on (which mostly consists of moving around piles of fabric.)

Tonight I get to sew with friends, and tomorrow is the first DC Modern Quilt Guild meeting of 2012 (unless, of course, the ice storm makes a mess of the roads). Should be a good weekend! And now the little one is awake, so away we go.
(These two stacks are possibilities for the Fab Little Quilt Swap on flickr. Oh yes, I said yes to a swap. But just one :)

Some great fabrics!
ReplyDeleteI'm glad you've discovered pilates! I've been doing it for several years and I love it!
there's a great 1 mile swim race in early June in Annapolis... entry info on lin-mark.com
ReplyDeleteThey sound like useful projects to me! I'm also on a project fit into my jeans, and project lose a spare tyre, and project walk into work plus up the stairs to the 5th floor...
ReplyDeleteGood luck with your Project: ...! I had grand hopes for January to get my house in order so to speak. I think I need to hit the rewind and start 2012 over, LOL, as the cold and flu season has hit our family big time and I've stalled. Glad to see someone else making it happen! Gives me the incentive to refocus as well! Your piles look lovely - can't wait to see what they become.
ReplyDeleteAll of the gears are contained inside the rear hub, making shifting smooth and easyHermosa Beach.
