Triathlon Training Update: Humidity

So, the triathlon is approaching... and I guess if you sign up for any sort of race in Virginia in July, you get what you pay for, namely, humidity.  My feelings towards this race dovetail well with a comment Holly left earlier this week--she said that her friend's last name is Doom, and she named her cats Certain and Impending. Yep, pretty  much how I feel about the race. But, it has been a lot of fun (and a lot of swapping kids) to train with my friend Trish, and she showed up in cycling shorts this morning, so I'm thinking we have many more morning rides in our future.  And that is a very good thing.

I will leave you with an Instagram-ed photo of the only good thing about weather that is so humid that your shins start sweating when you walk out the door: Hydrangeas. Happy swimming and biking and running, folks!

  1. I can't imagine doing that in humidity. Hang in there.

  2. Ha! Not a parallel I expected to see. Know what you mean, though. Almost makes you glad the race starts so blasted early, so at least you'll be done before the full heat/humidity of the day!
