Featured on Quiltstory and Morning Rides

Fresh Poppy Design
One of my favorite quilts (well, made by me) is featured on Quiltstory this morning--go check it out :) It is one of the few that I have made that still lives at my house. In other happy news, my triathlon is just under a month away, which means that I am motivated to do crazy things like swim laps last night and get up at 5:45 to bike and run this morning.  As my training partner Tricia put it, if we put in the time now at crazy hours of the morning (I added that part), then when we are tired in the middle of the race we can think, "I've got this--I biked and ran all summer in that awful humidity, I can do this now." Right? I sure hope so.

Thanks to everyone who has included the 100 Quilts for Kids button on their sidebar or otherwise helped advertise it! Don't forget to leave me a comment on this post  by Monday night to be entered in the giveaway, but feel free to tell your friends about it at any time in the next few months! :)

Happy Friday, everyone. I know I am looking forward to a visit from good friends, frozen custard from the best place on earth, participating in an Emergency Preparedness fair (or at least I keep telling myself I'm excited), and milder weather (I wish) this weekend.

  1. cool story! And once I have a bit more time, I'll grab the 100 Quilts for Kids button and post on my blog too. I definitely have a few WIPs that can be donated. It'll give me some time to finish.

Good luck with the final tri training!
