Birthdays

Note: Apologies to those of you who had pictures of my kids show up in your reader. I am pretty proud of Mr. L. for jumping off the diving board and swimming to the side by himself, but I didn't mean to post those here. And now, this blog is no longer the default blog on my phone :)

I love birthdays--I love singing Happy Birthday and sending gifts and making cakes and seeing others' reactions on their birthday. I bought these zippers to make some secret birthday projects (I'm sure you will never guess what I'm making, ha!) My birthday happens to be this week, so you may see a project or two for me on the blog, because really, we never sew for ourselves, and I think this is a great excuse to do so.

  6. I thought the kids were cute--kind of a "welcome to summer" pix thing. No worries. Can hardly wait to see what comes of the zippers. I saw some at our local quilt show in January that were two toned--one side was one color and the other side was another and they looked spiffy. I didn't buy them, because it would have just joined all those other things in my sewing room that were spiffy, but I couldn't think of what to do with them once I got them home.

    I'll stay tuned. . .

  7. Happy birthday! I just celebrated mine, and I *love* the idea of making something for yourself to celebrate! I'm planning to do so... as soon as I finish up the things I'm making for everyone else :)
